Craft Fair Display Inspiration!

Happy weekend, readers! It has gotten chilly here in KC...we even had some beautiful snow flurries today! Although, along with the sweater weather and snowflakes has come the dreaded winter cold! Hopefully it will get out of my system soon - cold medicine makes me a little loopy and I have a ton of sewing, crafting, and organizing to do before my next show!

I've been doing a lot of research on display pieces for my upcoming show. While I have some great pieces already (thanks to my awesome dad and his super skills), I'm always looking for unique and fun ways to add to my booth space.

Check out some of these great ideas!

This is a gorgeous and simple way to display ornaments, key fobs, or even jewelry! Found on the blog Shanty 2 Chic

I love this rustic look - an aged shutter would be a perfect display piece for artwork, wreaths, or even purses.

I love this idea for signage! Bright, colorful, and easy to change from show to show. Also - inexpensive! Thanks to Sarah with an H's great blog for this idea!

Great display ideas for smaller items...and I'm sure almost all of these pieces could be found at the dollar store.

This is stunning! I'm obsessed with this...plus, those satchels are GORGEOUS! Thanks for this great idea, RenegadeCraftFair!

After having done a decent number of shows, I have learned a few things about display pieces:

1.) Keep it easy to transport! Light, foldable, and easy to fit in your car are key. You don't want to spend an hour sweating like crazy while lugging in your display pieces prior to a show. I've done it. It's not fun!

2.) Find deals - it's not difficult to spend hundreds of dollars on display pieces. Look on your local free section of Craigslist, hit up the dollar store or thrift shop, and don't be afraid to ask retailers if they have old display pieces that they are no longer using.

3. ) Make sure the focus is on your goods and not on your piece. Keep it neutral so that your salable items stand out.

I'm guessing that I will be dreaming of display ideas tonight...it never seems to amaze me how my crafting world manages to squeeze its way into my sleep time!
