Nashville Trip: 2014

Well, I had every intention of updating the blog daily with our Nashville adventures. Obviously, that did not end up happening. We were having such a great time, I barely had time to pull out my computer, let alone spend some quality time with the blog. Now that we are back in Kansas City, I finally have a little time to update.

If I were to sum up Nashville in one word, it would be this: FANTASTIC!

I loved everything about that city. The people, the food, the sights, the decor, the architecture...growing up in the North, I never really got to experience the "southern hospitality" thing. Let me tell you this, ya'll - it's alive and well! (See how I slipped a "ya'll" in there? I'm so southern now!)

Since there were so many great parts of the trip, I think I'm going to break it up into a few different posts. There is just no good way to fit it all into one! First up - definitely the highlight of the trip...ziplining!

Each time we go on a trip, we try to do something that is out of our comfort zone. Ziplining was definitely on that list! Neither me or my husband are very fond of heights, but we had a GREAT time! It was much less scary that we thought it would be!

Posing before heading up to the ziplines...so excited and nervous!

G was convinced that this would be the last photo taken of him...EVER.
We met up with our tour guides, Edward and Keith, after arriving at Adventureworks. They were absolutely awesome and made us feel much more comfortable about the whole experience.

We ended up completing 9 different ziplines - the most adventurous one was 120 feet high and 850 feet long. It was a blast!

If you look closely, you can see one of our guides, Keith, flying down the zipline in the background!

What a blast! Thank you to Edward and Keith for being fantastic guides! You made our trip to Nashville even more amazing than we thought it could be!

If any of you are in Nashville, stop by Adventure Works Music City and book yourself a zipline tour. You will not regret it!

What are some of your favorite vacation adventures?
