Nashville: Day 1

Well, we're off to a foggy, drizzly start to our vacation! This is our first full day - yesterday we made the 9 hour trek from Kansas City through some absolutely gorgeous scenery! Rolling hills covered in red, orange, and yellow leaves...my favorite time of year!

We rolled into town around 6pm and decided to try out a restaurant that was recommended by a friend called Saffire. It's in Franklin, a southern suburb of Nashville, and it was a fantastic recommendation! The restaurant itself is inside an old factory building that has been rehabbed into a cool little shopping and restaurant spot.

The service was great, the food was spectacular, and I left feeling VERY satisfied (and a little bloated...I just can't resist cheddar biscuits, even after I'm full!) We were happy to get a table near the live music. These guys were talented!

I'm hoping to stop by there one more time during our trip, even if it's just for a drink at the bar. Though it's been a little gloomy weather wise, I'm having a great time in Nashville so far!
